Nita L. Shell, age 60, passed away at 2:42 pm on Monday, March 30, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on July 3, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to Walter & Rose (Schafer) Fluhr.
She married Ray M. Shell, in Murray, KY on May 25, 1974. He passed away on April 5, 2013.
Nita worked for the Alton School District for 10 years in the cafeteria. With her husband, she was involved with the Lewis and Clark Amateur Radio Club. She enjoyed reading, science fiction movies, crafts, her puppy “Lucy” and loved to spend time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Rose of FL; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ray Shell Jr. of Jefferson City, MO and Jason & Darci Shell of Stockton, CA; four grandchildren, Tiernan Shell, Kira Shell, Jackson Shell and Jaci Shell and one brother, Paul Fluhr of FL.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and daughter-in-law, Adrienne Shell.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11 am on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey with John Jaffry officiating.
