John Biver

Edwardsville |

John C. Biver, 39, passed away at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his home. He was born on December 10, 1975 in Granite City, Illinois. John fought with tremendous strength and courage for almost one year until the Lord took him to the big beach in the sky.

John graduated in 1995 from Edwardsville High School, and from LCCC with a degree in radio broadcasting.

John has since been a long time board engineer at KTRS 550 radio station. John truly enjoyed his job and was highly respected at 550. In his honor, studio D has been renamed the John Biver studio. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching St. Louis sports teams, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. John enjoyed vacationing on beaches with his family as well as playing softball with friends.

Surviving are his parents, Franklin Scott and Rosemary nee Belt Biver of Edwardsville; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Melony of Edwardsville; special niece, Allison Biver of Edwardsville; maternal oma, Maria Belt of Collinsville; his dog, Shelby; special aunt, Debi Schneider of Belleville; special uncle, John Biver of Pittsburg, IL; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

John has also left behind great friendships with the caring doctors and nurses at Barnes Jewish Hospital that were with him along the way.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Martin Belt; paternal grandparents, Catherine & Cletus Biver; uncle, George Biver; and Clyde Biver.

Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at St. Boniface Church in Edwardsville with Very Reverend Jeffrey Goeckner V.F. officiating. Cremation will then follow.
