Eric Jason Doty, age 37 of Maryville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Saint Louis University Hospital.
He was born on August 22, 1985, in St. Louis, MO to George “Skip” and Lori (nee Braeutigam) Doty. He was a graduate of Collinsville High School, Class of 2003, and attained his Masters in Business Administration degree from McKendree University. He worked for Verizon Wireless as an A.I. Product Owner. He was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville.
Eric’s biggest joy in life was being a dad to his triplets, Noah, Bradin and Addisyn. His favorite pastime was being at home with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching his children play sports, swimming and grilling in the backyard, taking family trips and creating memories with Stephanie and the trio.
He is survived by the love of his life, Stephanie (nee Rendleman) Doty, whom he married May 29, 2010; his three beloved children; his parents of Caseyville, IL; a sister, Michelle Doty of Caseyville, IL; father and mother-in-law, Stephen and Theresa Rendleman of Maryville, IL; four sisters-in-law, Emily (Jonathan) Daugherty of Maryville, IL; Erin (Aaron Sands) Rendleman of St. Louis, MO, Sarah (Matt) Waters of Maryville, IL and Claire Rendleman of Maryville, IL; a nephew, Dylan; a niece, Rosie; and many family and friends.
Visitation will be 3 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Rob Johnson Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
An education fund will be set up for his three children. Memorials are suggested to Stephanie Doty for this fund and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
