Carol S. Harris, 73, died at 11:20 a.m. at her residence in Wood River.
She was born in Alton on October 10, 1948, the daughter of the late John W. and Bevvie (Hooper) Harris. Carol was an avid golfer and a member of the River of Life Community Church in Godfrey and had been baptized as a child at the First Baptist Church in Alton.
She worked as a secretary for Christian Hospital and retired as office manager for Dr. Naveed Razzaque of West Florissant Internist, Inc. after 35 years of service.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Brittany of Alton and her brother Terry Harris (Ivana J.) of Rolla, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Robert Benjamin Terpenning Sr; her son, Robert Benjamin Terpenning Jr; four brothers, Robert Harris, Richard William Harris, John David Harris, and Kenny Nelson Harris; and two sisters, Verda Maul and Betty Marie Osborn.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Community Church in Godfrey with Reverend Roger Bruce officiating.
