Donald Ray Stock Sr., 79, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Mon. Jan. 10, 2022, at his home while under hospice care.
He was born Oct. 10, 1942, in St. Louis, MO to the late Earl A. & Ruby (Jackson) Stock.
On June 19, 1962, he and Janet Ruth Volner were married in East St. Louis, IL. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2016.
Don retired as a machine maintenance supervisor for A.D.E.C. and was a member of City Temple.
He is survived by a daughter: Janet Ruth Stock of Lake City, MN; a son: Donald (Paula) Stock Jr. of Greenwood, IN; a son-in-law: Larry Prebe of Lake City, MN; 5 grandchildren: Justin, Ryan, Amy (Jerome) Homer (Jenny) and Gennifer; 6 great-grandchildren: Destinee, Trenton, Shianee, Paxton, Hunter, and Haus; 2 brothers: Jerry Stock of CA and David Stock of OR; and 2 sisters: Linda Stock of CA and Earlene Jolley of TX.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Rane Prebe a brother: Bob Stock; and 3 sisters: Betty Davis, Sue Warren, and Pat Clayton.
Services are private and he will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Rd. with his wife.
