William Edward Patterson. 88, of Madison, IL passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on January 28, 1933, in Madison, IL to the late Everette and Gertrude (Teetor) Patterson.
William served 3 years in the US Navy, and after that worked as a Switchman for the Railroad. He met Emma Bock and married her in Granite City on December 23, 1972. In his free time, he loved watching Nascar Racing and fixing cars.
He is survived by his wife Emma, a son: Kevin (Tessie) Patterson of Maryville, IL; 4 grandchildren: Kayla Patterson, Leah Patterson, Joey Patterson, and Joshua Patterson; a sister: Linda Storms.
Aside from his parents, William is preceded in death by a son: Michael Patterson: 5 brothers: Junior Patterson, Donald Patterson, David Patterson, and Richard Patterson; and two sisters: Brenda Davis and Anita Sprankle.
