Marian Ruth Jones, age 90, of Holiday Shores, IL, passed away at 8:54 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021, at her home.
She was born on October 27, 1930, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of the late William and Cora (Barnett) Homann.
Marian married Edd Jones, Jr. on November 12, 1949, at Eden Church in Edwardsville. Edd preceded her in death on January 18, 2012.
She is survived by a son, Glen A. Jones and his wife, Sharon, of Holiday Shores; daughter, Theresa “Terry” Bodner and her husband, Vincent, of Staunton; four grandchildren, Matthew Jones and his wife, Brittney, of Bethalto, Sarah Carlin and her husband, Bryan, of Fenton, MO, Linda Ramirez and her husband, Todd, of Staunton, IL, and David Bodner and his wife, Katie, of Staunton, IL; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Carlin, Adam Carlin, Adrian Carlin, Rhett Bodner, and Rylee Rudd; and one great-grandchild on the way; Baby Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Kenneth Homann; and one sister, Helen Radcliff.
Marian was a member of Eden Church and the Women’s Guild. She loved to go to the Main Street Community Center.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Roberts presiding. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
