Barbara Gwen 'Bobbi' Gernigin, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at her home.
Born Feb. 20, 1959 in Aurora, IL, she was a daughter of Milton 'Sonny' and Barbara A. (Schenk) Johnson.
She married Jim Gernigin Dec. 18, 1987 in Edwardsville. He survives.
Bobbi worked for years at Schwegel's in Alton. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, and she loved her animals. She and Jim have several animals in and around their home, and Bobbi gave names to every one of them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Angie Beckham of Godfrey, Tiffany (Jerry) Runde of Hartford, and Amy (Jason) Diaz of Godfrey; six grandchildren, Brett Beckham, Maisie Kaylor, Morgan Beckham, Breana Smith, Katelyn Runde, and Jayden Diaz; and her aunt, Susie Hale.
The family will greet friends and family on Friday, March 19 at The River Church, 3401 Fosterburg Road in Alton from 4-7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
