Verline Rose Aljets, 93, of Holiday Shores, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on July 2, 1927 in East Alton, IL, the daughter of Harry Herman and Pearl Marie (Johnson) Homm.
She married Frederick “Fritz” Edward Aljets on June 19, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto.
Verline was the bookkeeper and partner for Aljets Automotive. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey and a member of the Lutheran’s Women’s Missionary League (LWML).Verline enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick “Fritz”; her children, Scott (Sue) Aljets of Dorsey, Rocky (Bobbi) Aljets of Bunker Hill, Dawn Aljets of Gunnison, CO, and James (Beth) Aljets of Staunton; a sister, Ruth O’Neal of Titusville, FL; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Aljets.
In consideration of our fathers age and current guidelines, the service and burial will be family only.
