Frank Doerr Jr, 90, passed away at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab on Friday April 24, 2020.
He was born June 23, 1929, the son of the late Frank Doerr Sr. and Ruby (Laird) Doerr. He married Eileen Slone on January 26, 1948 in Alton, IL, she preceded him in death.
Frank was a member of Indian Creek Church of Christ in Hamburg and the Wood River Moose Lodge. He enjoyed mechanic work, fishing, hunting, dancing and he volunteered for North Calhoun Fire Department. Frank retired from National Marine as a River Boat Pilot.
He is survived by four children, Ella Diane (Otis) Blasingim, Frankie Lee Doerr, Steven Wesley (Tina) Doerr, and James Ray (Eva) Doerr; eight grandchildren, LaWanda Klaas, Melissa Doerr, Frankie Lee Doerr, Brandy Herron, Stephanie Doerr, Krystle Watson, Amber Milhine, and Emily Doerr; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.
In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by five siblings and one great grandson.
Private services will be held at Indian Creek Cemetery.
