Claire Handlon

Claire E. Handlon, age 67 of Fairview Heights, Illinois, formerly of Edwardsville, Illinois, died at 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 06, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois, from cancer.  She was born July 13, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late George W. & Eleanor Handlon. Claire, a 43 year employee of  SSM Health in St. Louis, Missouri, was a Technical Service Center Analyst.She is survived by one sister, Susan Handlon-Mendelsohn & husband Ralph; two nieces, Kerrie Ketterlin-Slinkard of Edwardsville, Melinda Ketterlin-Weissman of Edwardsville; one great nephew, Zachary Harrison; and three great nieces, Lindsey Harrison, Amanda Weissman,& Taylor Weissman. Claire was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville as a child and while she lived in Edwardsville. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.She was cremated according to her wishes and will be buried a Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville.
