A short, simple yet moving ceremony returns Saturday to the Alton National Cemetery on Pearl Street. The 9th annual Wreaths Across America event begins at 11am, and is one of hundreds of similar events being held across the country at the same time.

Parking is at a premium around the cemetery so a free shuttle will run between a small lot behind Bon Air to the cemetery entrance before and after the service. The ceremony itself will start promptly at 11am tomorrow (Sat) and last about 25 minutes.
