Cardinals fans who plan to head to one of the big games, may want to think twice before shelling out their cash. Bill Smith with the Better Business Bureau says people should buy tickets and book hotel rooms from a reputable vendor. Tickets should be purchased directly through the Cardinals or one of the companies they work with.
Smith says fake tickets surfaced in St. Louis during the 2011 World Series.
If you go with a private sale, make sure you pay with a credit card, never use cash or MoneyGram. And if you're heading to Boston, when it comes to booking a hotel room, Smith says do your research, know how close you are to the ballpark, and double check with the hotel or motel to make sure the room is actually reserved.
