The fourth Wood River Fall Festival is set for today, and organizers are hoping to bounce back from a year off last year.  The construction in and around downtown forced the postponement of the event in 2011, but the year before, organizers say they attracted nearly 9,000 people to the event that runs along Ferguson Avenue.

Ferguson will be blocked off from Wood River Avenue to 2nd street at the event next month.  There will be a variety of food vendors, and plenty things for the kids to do, according to Festival Co-Chairman Suzette Cranmer.

There will also be a bounce house.  Music will be provided by Easy Rider from noon-4pm  and Hicktown from 4-8pm.  Cranmer says the current streetscape work on Ferguson Avenue should not be a factor this year, and there is plenty of parking in lots along Route 143, and on many of the side streets near the festival.
