If you know a woman that has complied a number of outstanding personal achievements and contributions to the community, they may be among the 2013 class of Women of Distinction. The 23rd annual awards will be announced this spring, and the nomination process has been extended for one week. The honorees will reflect the mission of the YWCA: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
YWCA Executive Director Andrea Lamer says nominations are now due by February 15.
202 women have been honored since the program began. The winners will be announced in the spring and will appear on Z-1570's Let's Talk prior to their luncheon at the Commons at Lewis & Clark Community College on May 21. Nominating forms are available through the YWCA. Call 465-7774.
