The body of a woman who fell from the Golden Eagle Ferry last Friday has been recovered. The Missouri State Highway Patrol say 60-year-old Lynn T. Watson of Florissant was pulled from the river Monday morning around 8:15 near the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. Her death has been ruled accidental.
Sgt. Al Nothum of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says she was recovered about 30 miles downstream from where she fell in.

Officials say the vessel, which ferries cars and passengers between St. Charles and Calhoun County, has security gates that officials say make it nearly impossible to accidentally fall into the water. Authorities believe Watson was traveling from Missouri to Illinois at the time of the incident. The ferry remained closed over the weekend, but reopened yesterday.
