A woman has been arrested and charged with Armed Violence after an incident that left a man recovering from stab wounds on Tuesday. Emergency crews responded to the incident at a home in the 200 block of Longfellow in Alton after the victim went to a neighbor's house to report the violence. 32-year-old Holly Weed is held on $50,000 bond, while the victim Mark Wagonblast is healing up after surgery.
The pair apparently had lunch at the home in the 200 block of Longfellow, and then began to argue. Weed allegedly grabbed a knife at least three inches long and stabbed Wagonblast in the arm. He then ran from the home and a neighbor called 9-1-1. He was taken to Alton Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for surgery. Weed is charged with Armed Violence - a felony - and Aggravated Domestic Battery
