It may be another mild winter for Illinois, if the latest outlook from the national weather service is on the mark.  With no significant weather events like La Nina or El Nino currently, State Climatologist Jim Angel says forecasters are giving Illinois equal chances of having above, below, or normal temperatures this winter.  

The same holds true for precipitation, except Southern Illinois which has a slight chance for above average snowfall.
