The West Nile Virus has shown up all across Madison County this year.  So far, mosquitoes have been the only documented carriers in this area, but that doesn't mean you should let your guard down.  Madison County Health Department Health Promotion Manager Amy Yeager tells The Big Z West Nile season started late, but rapidly crossed the county.

Yeager suggests avoiding the outdoors between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active, and report any stagnant water you see to local officials.  Find a good repellant, and report any stagnant water to the health department.
