The St. Louis Major Case Squad’s investigation of the murder of 44-year old Tabitha Milton-Rush is wrapping up in Bethalto. Monday night, village officials praised the work of detectives and other members of law enforcement who helped bring the case to a close. Bethalto Police Chief Greg Smock says more than 1,200 hours of detective work were put into the investigation. Mayor Steve Bryant says that wouldn’t have been possible without the Major Case Squad.
46-year old Raamon Victor Reed was charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death after Milton-Rush’s body was found down an embankment, just off of 255, across from the Bethalto Sports Complex just after 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Reed has been transferred into the custody of Madison County Police and is being held on $1,000,000 bond.
