Video gambling machines across the state are starting to go live. The Illinois Gaming Board activated the video poker machines at bars and restaurants throughout the state. So far, they say they've been activated in 65 locations in Illinois. It's the start of a process that's been in the works for three years when legislators approved gaming.
The intent was to help fund a construction program. The Illinois Gaming Board says it is working its way through applications for machines at more than two-thousand locations in Illinois.
