The conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan are not on the scale of World War 2 or Vietnam, but the USO is still around to back the troops and their families. Norden says “one of the big things we’re known for is our USO centers, which are throughout the country and the world in airports” to provide a respite for traveling military members.
While Bob Hope and Betty Grable are not around to entertain the troops, Norden says there still could be a visit from pro athletes, Kid Rock, or Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.
