The 2014 campaign for the Southwest Illinois Division of the United Way is about a month away from its end date and there is hope that the group will reach its goal.  This year, the group hopes to raise $1.9 million and already has more than $377-thousand in donations.

The local chapter covers five counties including Madison, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey and Macoupin, and supports 40 agencies that serve nearly 200-thousand people.  You can still give to the United Way campaign for the Southwest Illinois Division by calling 258-9800 or visiting  www.helpingpeople.org
