The plan in Jersey, Greene and Calhoun counties is in the final stages, and is being supported by the Tri-County Transportation Committee, Western Illinois University, and the U of I Extension Service. It will not be a service similar to the transit systems in Madison and St. Clair Counties. It will be a "ride on demand" service, in which those needing a ride will call ahead. Organizers are saying a year is a realistic goal for getting busses on the road.
