The race for the Madison County Chairman's office has taken another turn, with the challenger accusing the Regional Superintendent of Schools of using his office to sway potential voters. Madison County Treasurer Kurt Prenzler issued a statement Wednesday claiming Dr. Robert Daiber "crossed a line" when campaign literature was distributed to teachers at area schools this week.
Prenzler tells The Big Z he believes the letter is a violation of the Illinois Educators Code of Ethics.

Dr. Daiber tells The Big Z the letter of endorsement of Madison County Board Chairman Alan Dunstan was given to the IEA office, which was then given to the IEA Presidents on Tuesday evening.

Daiber notes he offered the endorsement as a former IEA President, and not as the current Regional Superintendent of Schools.
