It's been a stormy 24 hours across the metro area. Severe weather started rolling through yesterday evening with at least two tornado touchdowns reported just outside the St. Louis metro area in Illinois. One of those twisters touched down in the Clinton County town of Damiansville, the other near Okawville. No injuries were reported, although there was some property damage in mostly rural areas.
Meanwhile, there were scattered power outages overnight, along with periods of heavy rain, some reports of hail, and trees and tree limbs knocked down across the St. Louis region. A chance of thunderstorms remains in the forecast through Friday morning.
