It's past time for making New Year’s resolutions, but it's never too late to decide you want to make changbes.  Losing weight is a popular goal, and one many people choose to hit hard once spring rolls around.  But experts remind you cannot just diet or exercise, it must be a combination of both.

Judy Roth, with the Obesity Reduction Committee at the Madison County Health Department, says the old saying "all things in moderation" is true.

To be successful with a weight loss plan, it’s important to develop a plan for achieving the goals and to stay motivated.  Roth suggests setting specific goals that are realistic, achievable and measurable.
