A woman is suing Kilroy's Sports Bar, and the company that installed a party tent that collapsed during a storm, killing her husband. Alfred Goodman of Waterloo was 58 years old when he died in April after heavy wind lifted the tent at the pub from its moorings, shoving it to a railroad trestle. His wife Shelley claims the bar was negligent because it didn't properly inspect the tent and it allowed customers to get underneath it.
The suit also alleges Sun Rental Inc. of Bridgeton made mistakes installing and checking the tent. Around 100 people were injured and treated at the site on April 28th and 16 more were sent to the hospital.
