The teacher’s strike continues for another day in the East St. Louis School District. The union and the district met face to face on Tuesday for 10 hours, but the latest negotiation session did not produce any agreement. Teachers have been on strike since October 1.
The two sides are at odds over money, and the step salary schedule for teachers. No new talks are scheduled. Around 6-thousand students are impacted by the walkout, which is now in its 19th day.
