A man who was charged in August with drug offenses is still being sought by U.S. Marshal's. 39 year old Ralph T. Walker of Wood River has eluded arrest for allegedly selling drugs out of homes in Wood River and Alton, and possibly in St. Louis, with buyers coming from as far away as Greene County.
This summer, Walker was one of three dozen people named in federal indictments in connection with drug sales throughout the Metro East. He is alleged to have sold heroin from his home in the 100 block of East Penning Avenue in Wood River as well as homes in the 2600 block of Yager and the 2800 block of Grandview both in Alton. Undercover agents worked with confidential sources to make drug buys on several occasions from the homes earlier this summer and authorities are now asking for the public's help to get him off the streets. If you know of his whereabouts, contact your local police department.
