An attempted robbery at the Alton McDonald's restaurant on East Broadway has resulted in charges against an Alton man. Police say 36-year-old Travis J. Clark, of the 1,200 block of E. 6th Street entered the restaurant Monday morning, and announced a robbery to an employee.
He was taken into custody at McDonald's without incident, after a call to police. Clark was not armed, and nobody was injured. He is jailed on $50,000 bond. Attempted robbery is a Class 3 Felony, which is punishable by 2-5 years in prison. It is also a probationable offense.
