Structural damage to the Saints Peter and Paul School building in Alton will be fixed. The school announced today (Thursday) that the school on State Street will be open for business for the 2016-17 School Year. Work should begin soon to fix the damage that was done by the 15 inches of rain the location received in late December.
Business Manager Patti Kruegel tells The Big Z Jun Construction will be doing the repairs.

She says the cost of the project is about $40,000. Following the discovery of the damage over the Christmas break, arrangements were made with the Alton School District to move students and staff to Mark Twain School on Milton Road for the balance of the school year.
