Soybean planting is wrapping up, as we hear in the weekly crop report. 96% of soybeans have now been planted and 88% emerged, which is very close to normal progress according to State Crop Statistician Mark Schleusener. One percent of soybeans are blooming.

75% of the corn crop is rated in good to excellent condition, and there are no reports of silking yet. average statewide topsoil moisture declined and now stands at 4% very short, 26% short, 66% adequate, and 4% surplus.
