The ex-husband and surviving child of convicted killer Paula Sims died over the weekend. 63-year-old Robert Sims and 27-year-old Randall Sims, both of Edwardsville, died after a crash with an alleged drunk driver in Mississippi. The crash happened at about 2pm Saturday.
The Jeep they were riding in was forced off an overpass on I-55 in Jackson, Mississippi. The driver of the other car, 47-year-old Yolanda McNeely of Ridgeland, Mississippi, is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI and felony fleeing after allegedly leaving the scene of the accident. Robert Sims was married to Paula Sims, who was convicted of killing her daughter Heather in 1989. She was also convicted of obstructing justice in the death of her older daughter, Loralei in 1986. They divorced shortly after her trial. She is serving a life sentence at the Logan Correctional Center.
