A local congressman believes the problems with the Affordable Care Act go back to the problems with liberalism, and the belief that the national government can solve all the nations' problems. Republican U.S. Congressman John Shimkus of Collinsville says the act does not offer the choices promised by President Obama, and believes people will be disappointed as they research their options.

Shimkus believes the President was not being honest when he told Americans they could keep their health coverage if they liked it, and says the debate will continue in Congress over whether or not the President has the authority to push back deadlines associated with the act.
