A Jerseyville man is charged with Distribution of Child Pornography after allegedly committing the offense in mid October. According to the charges, 36-year-old Phillip S. Grigalanz was involved in distributing a picture of what is believed to be an 8-year-old girl posed in a sexually suggestive manner.
He is being held on $250,000 bond. Distribution of Child Pornography is a Class X felony, punishable by 6-30 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $100,000. In another Jersey County sex case, Matthew E. Brown of Brighton pleaded guilty to Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and was sentenced to 30-years in prison on Monday. Brown pleaded to abusing a child from 2009 until February of this year. The child was 6 years old at the time the abuse began.
