Severe weather preparedness week in Illinois continues today.  The states Emergency Management Agency as well as local experts are urging families to make sure they are ready for anything.  WeatherSpotter facilitator John Nell says while severe weather most often strikes between April and June, it's important to be "weather ready" all year long.

He says that starts with having a notification system in place, such as a weather radio.
