Farmers who didn't respond to the 2012 Census of Agriculture have another chance to do so. The USDA recently mailed additional census forms to farmers who missed the original deadline in February. Officials will follow up with phone calls or personal visits to those famers by this Friday, April 5th.
The census is conducted every five years and is required by law, so farmers who don't respond could face a small fine. Check out AgCensus.USDA.gov for more details.
