Company officials with Sears, Roebuck and Co. are looking for entrepreneurs interested in owning their own store. The retail giant wants to open a Sears Hometown Store in Alton and needs an owner to be responsible for the start-up and on-going expenses for the day-to-day operations.
Regional Development Manager Mike Jones says getting back into Alton is a goal, as the store at Alton Square was good for sales in the merchandise that will be sold in this smaller version:
