As temperatures drop into single digits and possibly negative denominations this week, parents may wonder what the guidelines are for a school district to cancel classes.  The answer is “it depends.”  While some districts weigh precipitation more heavily on their list of concerns, others take into account how long kids have to wait at the bus stop.

Wind chills for Tuesday are expected to be in the teens, with Wednesday’s forecast expecting temperatures in the single digits and a wind chill well below zero.
