U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock's (R-Peoria) district is corn country, where a new report suggesting corn-based ethanol is bad for the environment is not going over well. He praised the work neighboring U.S. Rep. John Shimkus (R-Collinsville) has done with the House Energy and Commerce Committee on this.  “There are some people who want to get rid of ethanol. There are some people who want to get rid of the RFS,” Schock says. “I’m not one of them.”
