A 26-year-old Roxana man is looking at eight felonies for allegedly participating in child pornography and sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.  Investigators say Brian K. Cooper (pictured), of the 300 block of Rohm Place, is guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, three counts of Class X child pornography, and three more counts of Class 1 child pornography.

Cooper's arrest came as a result of an investigation conducted by the Illinois Attorney General's Office, Roxana Police, and the Secret Service.  The agencies searched Cooper's home early Wednesday and allegedly recovered computer files containing nearly 3,000 images and videos of child porn.  Upon further investigation, the charges of sexually assaulting a child were brought.  The investigation falls under the banner of Operation Glass House, which Attorney General Lisa Madigan says targets the most active traffickers who download and trade child pornography online.  Cooper is jailed on $200,000 bond.
