A large resurfacing and reconstruction project is underway on Illinois Route 100. From Ski Lift Road just east of Grafton to 2 miles north of Route 16 in Jersey County, the Illinois Department of Transportation will be working from now until around the first of December, weather permitting.
IDOT Engineer Joe Gasaway says they are moving pipes and working on erosion issues this week.
He says the work will be done in segments, in order to keep traffic moving.
Delays are expected, so you are asked to adjust your plans accordingly. IDOT asks motorists to use patience, reduce speed, obey all warning signs, and use additional caution when traveling near and through the work zone.
