MoDot crews have rerouted southbound traffic so that you can take the Clark Bridge heading into Missouri. With the lower lanes of U.S. 67 underwater on the Missouri side of the bridge, traffic was rerouted to I-270 on Sunday. After a full morning and early afternoon of work, the upper lanes on the highway were reconfigured to accommodate two-way traffic for the foreseeable future.
The detour will run from the bridge to Highway 94 where traffic will then shift to the lower lanes. MoDOT spokesman Shonda White tells The Big Z they hope to reopen the lower lanes by Thursday.

For now, the two-lanes will move traffic in and out of Alton. She says to expect some delays with the ability to move traffic basically being cut in half.
In other water-related closures...
IL Route 100 at IL Route 96 has also closed due to rising floodwaters. Please follow marked detour.
