The 4th annual Riverbend Earth Day event is Saturday, and the final preparations are being made to Piasa Harbor, which is hosting the event again this year. There will be live music, make-it and take-it workshops for adults and kids, and hikes along the trails.
The Nature Institute is partnering with the Sierra Club, Great Rivers Land Trust, The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center and the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Natalie Marioni, researcher at the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center, tells the Big Z there will be a turtle-tracking demonstration.
