A day after Quinn met with top Democratic legislative leaders to talk pension reform, he is met with House Minority Leader Tom Cross (R-Oswego) and Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) on Tuesday.

“I think it’s important that we have a strong and comprehensive visit about the issue of pensions and anything else,” Quinn said Tuesday in Chicago.

Quinn’s pension reform plan would take a House plan and a Senate plan and roll them into one bill in time for the special session set for June 19.

Meanwhile, Quinn says it’s no time to talk politics, when asked about former White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley announcing Tuesday that he is forming an exploratory committee to look into a run for governor. “There’ll be plenty of time for politics, that’s next March,” Quinn said.
