Gov. Pat Quinn will be visiting injured veterans for Christmas, but this time, not in Germany. For the last eight years, Quinn, as governor and lieutenant governor, has visited the Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany, but he says they told him his visit isn’t needed this year.
“Fortunately, there are fewer patients this year than in years previous at the American Military [Medical] Center in Landstuh, Germany, so I decided to go to Walter Reed Hospital. That’s an Army medical hospital in Bethesda, Md. I’m going this Friday,” he said.
