Gov. Pat Quinn says the move of Archer Daniels Midland’s headquarters from Decatur to Chicago is a win for everyone.  While the move involves fewer jobs than what was originally offered by ADM as part of a tax incentive deal, Quinn says it’s still a positive that the company is keeping its headquarters in the state. As for the company’s proposed technology center, and the 100 jobs that will come with it, Quinn says it may still end being built in Illinois.

“We have the kind of workers they’re looking for, the kind of very skilled, well educated people that can help create things for the 21st Century, Quinn said. “So we’re certainly in that competition.  Quinn says that workforce should be the incentive for ADM and other companies to do business in Illinois, but he did not write off the possibility of offering ADM tax incentives for that center.
