Visitors to the Old State Capitol between now and July 14 will get an extra helping of red, white, and blue, courtesy of a Springfield quilting group.
QUILTS (Quilters United in Learning, Teaching, and Self-Improvement) has loaned several of its works for the display.
“They're a contemporary, modern perspective,” says Old State Capitol program volunteer Cat Mancuso. “The concept here is that you have designs coming together in a patriotic theme.”
