Medical marijuana has yet to be legally prescribed, delivered, or ingested in Illinois, but the drive continues to add to the list of eligible ailments. To wit: post-traumatic stress disorder.

The legislature has sent the governor a bill which would add PTSD, perhaps best known for its effects on veterans, to that list. The House decided to go ahead and give the governor the bill, rather than continue to argue whether people with pot prescriptions should be prohibited from owning firearms.
“There’s no other legal pharmaceutical in Illinois that a patient could take that would require their FOID (firearm owners’ identification) card to be taken away from them,” said the sponsor, State Rep. Lou Lang (D-Skokie), during the final debate.
